I you spend time on any kind of Mommy blogs- chances are lately you have seen this idea floating around. A Bean Box. My sis posted her daughter's fun with it this week, and I also saw it here. I love when I find new ways to use my food storage- other than eating it. This is a plastic bin full of dried beans. These beans were just fine sitting in my pantry awaiting their turn in the crock pot- but now they have fulfilled their true potential- as a psuedo sandbox on a snowy day. One happy morning for my bored two year old. I'll have to add get some more lentils to restock the bean shelf, but it was worth it.
