Family Favorite- BBQ Pork Chops and Corn
Our family's favorite meal in the summer time is BBQ pork chops and BBQ corn.
Don't believe me.
Come over for dinner and see what I serve you.
We have this weekly and our freezer is usually housing a wide selection of Pork Chops for grilling at any time.
I love it too because not only does it taste good, it is delicious.
Even my father-in-law of very few words made several comments about my Pork Chops when he was served some a few weeks ago.
You can use any cut of pork chop.
Bone in, Bone out, thin or thick.
Pick what you like.
Or like me.... what ever is the cheapest.
Marinate them in a bottle of salad dressing or marinade.
We like the Kroger Brand 30 minute marinade.
It is often on sale for $1.29 and I stock up in every flavor.
The marinade in the picture is actually a sun dried tomato vinaigrette that was $.90 on sale.
See, anything goes.
Preheat your grill and be sure to not flip your chops too much. That really does nothing.
3-4 minutes, flipped and another 3-4 minutes with the lid shut at medium heat should do for a thin cut.
4-5 minutes, flipped and another 4-5 minutes with the lid shut at medium heat for a thick cut.
Your corn will take a little longer than the pork chops so do them 1st. They stay nice a warm in their foil blankets waiting for the entree to cook anyway.
Corn shucked and cleaned, wrapped in foil and placed on the grill for 15-17minutes with lots or turning to make sure each side is cooked will please your BBQ crowd.
